Class of 2026 Yearbook Portrait Session Contract

Thank you for working with Michael Negrete Photography! We want you and your student(s) to have a great senior portrait experience at our studio. Please watch the videos on the Class of 2026 booking page, as they will answer many of your questions. Unfortunately, many parents/students skip the video and ask friends for the details. These clients come in unprepared and are often frustrated. The videos give you essential information about wardrobe, props, and ordering. 

 

SMS/Email Messages and Reminders

By booking your appointment, you agree to receive various text and email messages and reminders regarding your appointment. You can expect to receive approximately 5-10 messages from us regarding your appointment. Types of messages include appointment confirmations, important details regarding your appointment(s), reminders of your appointment(s), and/or studio updates. Message and data rates apply. Ordering/Projection Session

You will view and select your yearbook image and place your portrait order immediately after your session. This approach guarantees your satisfaction with the portraits. Be prepared to invest a total of one hour: 30 minutes for your session and another 30 minutes for the ordering appointment. It is essential that all decision-makers are present, as all decisions made during the ordering appointment are final.

We will not provide digital or printed proofs. All senior portraits require ordering with a consultant in person.

Each session includes only one ordering appointment scheduled for the same day. If you are unable to attend your ordering appointment or require additional appointments, a non-refundable deposit of $25 will be required. This deposit reserves time for an associate to assist you and does not cover product costs.

The deposit will be applied toward the purchase of any of our packages. However, if you miss your appointment or do not reschedule within 48 hours (2 business days) of your scheduled time, another $25 deposit will be necessary.

Ordering appointments are best performed in-person. The $25 deposit reserves an in-person ordering appointment. For your conveinence, we offer virtual ordering appointments. These appointments require a minimum package purchase of our Freshman package at $110 plus tax. Pre-purchased packages can be upgraded at time of ordering.

Yearbook Portrait Session Fee

The Portrait Session Fee covers the photographer's time to create the yearbook portrait and the ordering appointment. It does not include prints, digital files, or other photography products. Clients can pre-pay for their desired package via the booking site or provide payment on the appointment day.

Payment

Studio fulfillment of packages/products is pending payment in full. 

Failure to pay will delay your order. If you pay online days or weeks after placing your order, contact us directly to begin processing. We are unable to monitor for late payments. We want you to get your pictures as soon as possible, so please reach out once you've made payment, and we'll process your order immediately! 

 

Production

Production on your order begins immediately. Production includes any retouching and processing/printing at the lab. Therefore, we can only make changes when adding additional prints or upgrading to a larger package. We won't be able to downgrade any package or remove line items from an order once production begins. 

 

Unpaid Balance/Product Storage:

Products shipped to the studio for pickup; we will attempt to contact you to arrange a pickup via phone, text, or email.Orders stored at the studio for over 90 days will be shipped to your address on file via the lowest-cost option. 

Orders pending payment(s) will be discarded (without refund) after 90 days of receipt at the studio. 

 

Digital Negative Storage

We take the utmost care concerning digital negatives. However, in the unlikely event that originals are lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed, the studio's liability is limited to refunding the session fee.

 

Cancellation Policy

Your portrait session fee is transferrable if you contact us more than two business days in advance to reschedule. To contact us, use support@michaelnegrete.com or call the studio at 909-625-3138. Any cancellations made less than two business days before your session are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Yearbook Publication

Michael Negrete Photography agrees to provide your yearbook portrait to your school yearbook staff. However, M.N.P. is not responsible for the publication of the yearbook, and we cannot guarantee that the yearbook staff will include your photo. Therefore, our liability is limited to the yearbook portrait session fee if M.N.P. causes errors.

Copyright

Per the U.S. Copyright Act at 17 U.S.C. 106, ©Michael Negrete Photography retains copyright on all images. Purchasing photographic products does not authorize you to reproduce or duplicate by photographing or scanning the artwork.

 

Please do not photograph the images on our displays/computer screens in our studio or during remote/Zoom ordering appointments. We recommend that you put your phone away during your portrait session so you can have a great experience.

We understand your excitement about sharing your pictures, so we include low—or high-res digital files with all of our reasonably priced packages. Should you decide to take photos of our displays/screens, you'll receive an invoice for the digital images displayed at $150 per image
