Michael Negrete
I am an artist and have been for over three decades. Before opening and operating Michael Negrete Photography over 20 years ago, I assisted recognized advertising and celebrity photographers in Los Angeles for almost ten years. My education has been a mix of community college at Chaffey College, the school of hard knocks in the industry. I finally capped it off with a BA in Business with a marketing concentration at the University of La Verne in 2019. My education is ongoing; I became a Certified Professional Photographer with Professional Photographers of America in 2021.
My confidence behind the camera and casual demeanor allows me to create breakthrough images for you. I aim to create moving images with visual impact, portraits that make you feel and smile. Photographing everyday people and showing their inner beauty is a blessing for me. I love portraits that reveal a subject's true personality just as it is.
My actual skill as a photographer is in connecting with my clients. I become a friend and integral in documenting all of your special moments, from weddings to portraits. By being present with my subjects, I can create new images that are unique and beautiful. My life as an artist is truly a dream, and I am very passionate about it.
Beyond photography, I am a father of two fabulous boys, Aidan and Lukas. I am also a competitive cyclist. I race mountain bikes, gravel, and cyclocross as an elite masters athlete (old fast guy). Being an artist, father, and athlete is the focus of my life, and I enjoy giving my all in every endeavor. I'm a ball of fun and inspirational energy. And I enjoy sharing my passion and love with everyone I meet.

Hi! I am the studio manager and photographer as well. Working with people and being creative together to create a memory and experience that will last a lifetime is what I love most about my job in the photography industry. One day, I want to own the photo studio to continue doing work that I love and that other people will enjoy.
Michael's two cents: I have to chime in here and rave about Sarahi because she won't do it for herself. She is one of the first photographers I've felt has what it takes to continue my vision of creating emotional portraits. She's visually talented and has the emotional intelligence critical to becoming a fantastic portrait artist. I'm privileged to work with her, as she elevates what we offer our valued clients in service and quality. The plan is for her to one day acquire the studio and carry on our unique vision of a boutique studio with reasonable prices for individual and high-volume jobs.

Hi everyone! My name is Leslie, and this is my 3rd year working at Michael Negrete Photography. I graduated from Claremont High School in 2017 and had my senior portraits taken at this studio! I love film photography and the creative process of this fast-paced industry. Additionally, with my degree in public relations, I can use my understanding of marketing in this position. Hello, I'm Carine. Like Leslie, I also had my senior portraits done at Michael Negrete Photography. I graduated from Glendora High School two years ago, and this is my second year working for the studio. As a stylist, I assist clients in ensuring everything looks excellent both before and during their photographs. Also, I handle sales and show the photos to the customers, assisting them in selecting their favorites and the ones they want to purchase. I enjoy this line of work because I see how much significance individuals place on their photographs, and I feel honored to have contributed to that. I don't know my future, but I can't wait to find out.
